What I’m Wearing: Convertible Trench Coat
There’s nothing I love more than a strong statement coat and today’s outfit showcases just that! At first glance this might look like your typical trench coat but if you look closer you’ll find some really unique details that make this one very special. Now of course there’s the drop shoulder and oversized fit, but what I’m really referring to is the zip-off sleeves and removable fold-down collar. Although a short sleeve wool trench might not seem like the most practical outerwear piece, who cares about practicality when you’re scoring major style points, right? The coat itself is fairly light so you’d have to be layered up anyway if you’re going to brave the cold, but if done properly you can pull off (or literally zip off) the short sleeve jacket look easily. For my layering method I did a cashmere sweater under a heavyweight tee but for those colder days try a turtleneck under your favorite button down or just throw on an extra thermal tee underneath it all. So what do you guys think of today’s statement coat?
