This Season’s Unlikely “It” Fabric
When you think of suede you might be reminded of the 70s or even Old Western fringe jackets. What you might not think of, however, is wearing this relatively non-breathable fabric in the summer. Needless to say, suede jackets like truckers, bombers, and motos have been seen all over the runways for SS15 and the only logical explanation I can think of is….”it’s fashion.” If you’re prone to heavy sweating or are currently suffering through a heatwave (ahem…NYC right now), I’d recommend suede jackets only up until the early summer or for the cooler nights. After that I’d probably leave the suede to the shoes and bags until it’s cool enough to incorporate suede clothing back into the mix.
