As much as I love modern menswear, the styles from the past will always have a special place in my heart and in my wardrobe. In GQ’s latest collection for Gap, David Hart takes us back to the 1950s with this banlon style polo. The retro stripe and banded waist give a nod to the past but maintain a modern relevance with a fresh color combo that suits the stylish sensibilities of today’s man. I took this polo on my recent trip to Curaçao and gave it an effortless tropical holiday feel with some white jeans, sunglasses, and espadrilles. Love it or leave it?
