What I’m Wearing: Double Breasted Blazer

New year, new me? Well, not exactly. If you’ve been following me on the internets for a while, you’re probably pretty familiar with my style and know that suits in the typical sense aren’t my every day uniform necessarily. While I do like the special occasion or night-out blazer, my day-to-day is pretty casual. When I do decide to throw on a blazer to switch things up, I like to do so with what I call a “smart casual” approach. That is, rather than a shirt and tie which seems a bit too formal for my low key lifestyle, I usually opt to wear a tee or sweater underneath, and then break up the formality even more by pairing the blazer with relaxed trousers and sneakers. In NYC you can pretty much get away with this combo at any of the “fancier” places I’d typically find myself in, but it’s also casual and comfortable enough for me to wear to my normal East Village hangouts.
