How To Wear Neutrals

I know everyone’s had enough of winter at this point but I still have some old outfits left so let’s just get right to it! This is the outfit I wore for Day 3 of New York Men’s Fashion Week. I chose a neutral color palette of all black and brown for this day in some sporty, modern pieces. When keeping your outfit all neutral or monochrome colors, I think it’s important to consider texture and layering to add some differentiation to your look. If you look closely here, you can see the textured fabric of the shirt and pants – a nice surprise when you view the outfit up close. The brown puffer and green sneakers again add to the smart, sport look I tend to gravitate towards and also happen to be very warm and comfortable for a day of walking around in the cold between shows.
