What To Wear To The Beach

Happy Memorial Day everyone! Now that beach season has officially arrived I think it’s only fitting that I share one of my beach outfits. Now I get the irony of that phrase – “beach outfit” – since technically all you need is a bathing suit, but hear me out. What you wear out of the water is just as important as what you wear in the water! I like to go for a swim trunk that hits above the knee to mid-thigh. It has a more classic look and the benefit of tanner thighs. Sky’s out, thigh’s out anyone? When it comes covering up out of the ocean, I think a camp collar shirt makes the perfect choice. The open collar still feels casual and beachy but more chic than a tank or a t-shirt. And if you’re like me you’ll probably need a hat to cover up that beach hair. I tend to ditch the baseball caps in favor of a straw Panama hat. Lastly, you’re going to want some shoes to protect your feet from the hot sand. I’m not a flip-flops kinda guy so I usually prefer a nice pair of slides or water-friendly shoe like these loafers I’m wearing. And there you have it – an easy way to elevate your typical beach attire!
