What To Wear On A Tropical Vacation
Don’t get me wrong because I love traveling, especially to tropical destinations, but let’s be honest – how do you keep it cute when it’s literally hot af outside? Couple that with the fact that you’ve already started full-speed into your winter body diet, the challenge seems almost impossible. If you have no idea what to wear – don’t “sweat it!” #lulz I faced the same dilemma on my recent trip to Curaçao where the temps were high 90s with 90% humidity – a winning combo. My daily uniform (aside from beach days which was basically a bathing suit and tank) went something like this.
- Straw Hat – When the air’s as moist as it is in the tropics, you can forget the hairspray because that ish is just not gonna hold. Opt for a stylish hat to get you through the heat.
- Camp shirt – I love these causal fold down collar shirts with their open front. Chose an oversized fit for extra breathing room (literally) and have fun with the color. Better yet do a Hawaiian shirt to really play up the vacay vibez.
- Relaxed trousers – I mean obviously shorts but if you’re willing to sacrifice even the slightest bit of comfort for fashion then this is your best option.
- Slip-on Sneakers – You never know when you’ll spontaneously find yourself at the beach and want to dip your toes in the sand.
