Layering Outerwear Like A Pro
If any of you guys were in New York this past weekend then you’d know how insanely cold it was and well… let’s just say that trying to make it out of the house was a pretty daunting task. So what do you do when you have to look your best for a day full of events around the city? My solution was layered jackets because one jacket just wasn’t enough for the brutal wind chill. I took one of my favorite suede jackets from the fall and wore it under an oversized top coat for maximum warmth. I really like the way the colors complemented each other and because the jackets have different proportions and silhouettes they worked really well to create a cohesive outfit. If you have a nice topcoat, other ways of achieving a double jacket layered look are by wearing a hoodie, light puffer, or even denim jacket underneath. Different lengths and textures help add interest to the outfit while also adding an extra layer of warmth. So what do you think? Would you try out this technique to beat the cold?
