My Trip To Bermuda
So it took me a little while to finally get some pics up from Bermuda but here they are! About 2 weeks ago I took a 4-day vacay to Bermuda at the end of NY men’s fashion week with my friend Moti. For those of you who are like me, you probably thought Bermuda was part of the Caribbean, but as it turns out, it’s even closer than that! Just 1.5 hours away by plane from NYC, it’s just east of North Carolina in the middle of the Atlantic. Not a bad “commute” for an easy weekend away right?
We stayed at the gorgeous Newstead Hotel a short ferry ride across the river from the main city of Hamilton. Our hotel suite was super spacious with 2 outdoor patios and beautiful views all around, and the hotel’s infinity pool was insanely awesome! During our trip we explored as much of Bermuda as we could in such a short time. We spent one afternoon in St. George’s, a historic part of the island with color literally around every corner and street. We also stopped at a few of the island’s clear water beaches and enjoyed some watersports like flyboarding (!!!!) at the main marina. Here’s a video of me actually catching some air LOL! Oh and I can’t forget about Crystal Caves! The tour of these gorgeous underground caves with all their limestone formations was so awesome! Definitely recommend it if you choose to visit. Aside from the sightseeing we also took in the island’s wonderful restaurants and nightlife in Hamilton. On one night we had an outdoor dinner by the beach with a live band at Elbow Beach and then bar hopped on Hamilton’s main strip. With tons to do and so little time, I’m definitely going to have to make the short trip back to finish my exploring.
PS – I used my 23″ Calpak suitcase for the trip. Not too big, not too small – it’s the perfect size luggage for a 4 day trip! Check out their collection here.
