Rocking The Oversized Trend
Lot’s to announce today! So I’ve finally landed back in NYC after a pretty busy two weeks of travel (more on that later) and I’m just in time for New York Fashion Week Men’s ANDDDDD my birthday today! Woohoo! Today I turn 32…shocking, I know! But before I get to celebrating let’s get to today’s post.
In honor of NYFWM, here’s a throwback to Milan Men’s Fashion Week 2 weeks ago. It’s still so crazy that I visited Milan for the first time and also got to attend my first men’s fashion week there. It was pretty hectic trying to fit in both sight-seeing and fashion shows in one short trip but somehow I managed to pull it off. Although I didn’t get to stay for all the shows I did get seats to some of the big ones – Ferragamo, Emporio Armani, Missoni, DSquared, Moncler, and a front row seat at Prada! Not too shabby! As much as I was excited to see the collections in person, getting dressed for the shows caused a bit of an anxiety attack since I wanted to look my best next to Milan’s super chic fashion crowd. At the end of the day I decided that comfort was key above all else so I stuck to what I do best – sporty, casual, high-low outfits. This is the outfit I wore to my first day of shows. I chose sporty oversized pieces like the baggy pleats and boxy half-zip pullover, and then topped it off with a long green overcoat for a little pop of color.
Stay tuned for more pics of my time in Milan coming soon to the blog and be sure to keep up with my Instagram and Stories this week to follow me around New York Men’s fashion week.
