How To Wear The Camp Shirt
I just got back from the Caribbean island of Curaçao a few days ago, but if you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’d know that because I kinda went overboard with all the posting. It was hard not to post though because the island is so beautiful I couldn’t help but share. Now that the fall season has finally hit New York, it was a little challenging to pack for this tropical getaway when my head has been wrapped in the fall layering process for the past few weeks. My solution was to stick with what I know and for me that was camp shirts. I’ve completely fallen in love with this style of shirt over the summer and perhaps you’ve picked that up because I’ve worn quite a few of them on the blog. A camp shirt refers to a boxy-cut, short-sleeve shirt with an open placket front and a camp collar (no band). Sometimes this collar style is also called a Cuban collar or a revere collar but tomato, tomoatoe it’s all the same. This style has a very decidedly summer feel because you can wear the front open and spread for a look that’s as carefree and effortless as a day on beach. Bascially…it’s the perfect type of shirt to bring on a warm weather getaway.
