Bringing Back The Knitted T-Shirt

Much like everything else in fashion, what’s old is new again and this time it’s knitted t-shirts. Popular in the 1940s and 1950s, these tees differ from today’s t-shirts with their thicker textured knit material. They were also known to have wide ribbed collars that sat high on the neck and a similar ribbed band at the waist and armholes. I’m particularly a fan of the snug fit that helps to flatter a guy’s physique. More dressy than a plain tee but more casual than a button down, the knitted sport shirt is the perfect in-between for casual occasions.
