What’s In Store For Maison Kitsuné This Fall
I know it’s a bit early for wool bombers but I couldn’t help myself to a little photo shoot when I saw these pieces from the new Maison Kitsuné FW15 collection. Paying homage to South Korea, the new “K.I.M.” aka Kitsuné Institute of Music collection draws many references to the country’s flag with it’s yin and yang-like symbols and trigrams in the collection’s prints and is also inspired by the South Korean artist Moonasi’s drawings, one of which you can see on the shirt I’m wearing here. This jacket is one of my favorites from the collection, too. Actually I’m pretty obsessed with the whole outerwear collection which is pretty strong TBH. And although we’ll have to wait a while before it’s actually cold enough to wear jackets, the graphic tees and caps from this season are pretty good pieces to get you through the summer to fall transition.
Not to be unmentioned, but have you seen the new kicks here? I’m definitely more of a sneaker than dress shoe guy and I have to say I’m loving this new collection from New Balance. The “Mid-Century Modern” collection is the latest drop in NB’s Made In America Distinct series and this time it features their classic silhouettes in color combos that were inspired by the color palettes of American mid-century architecture and design of the 50s and 60s.
Now if only we could just fast forward to fall weather…
